While practicing as a P.A., Mr. Hammond established the first private Paramedic training program in the state of Texas, operated a critical care jet ambulance service, administrated two hospital emergency departments, and co-developed the third "Minor Emergency Clinic" in the country. Mr. Hammond was also the Administrator of two medical group practices which eventually led to health care consulting. Stephen presented program curricula in emergency medicine as adjunct faculty to the University of Texas Medical School, the University of Texas School of Dentistry, and as an Assistant Professor for the College of the Mainland's Department of Nursing. Mr. Hammond is also a graduate of South Texas College and the University of Houston. Stephen has been widely published and has received numerous awards for his accomplishments, including the American Heart Association's "Advanced Cardiac Life Support Special Recognition Award". Mr. Hammond has worked with many health care organizations to optimize their management, resources, alliances, and reimbursement. In 1988, Mr. Hammond co-founded Innervation Technology Corporation, a leader in health care informatics and developer of intuitive data products and expert systems; including DoveTail Claims Editor, the antecedent of ComplyMD and ClaimCorrect, The Complete Fee System, RVP Conversion Factors, and one of the first prescription writing and screening systems, ScriptBase. ITC also supported the electronic telecommunications for Electronic Tabulating Service (ETS), one of the first and largest electronic claims clearinghouses in the country. Having successfully developed a strategic partnership with McGraw-Hill in 1992, ITC's products have become an industry standard and are used by every sector of the health care marketplace. Stephen is pleased to bring the extensive resources developed by Innervation Technology Corporation to ExaMedIT. |
